Thales is transforming the way in which we deliver our tools to engineers. In this role you will be helping to support the next generation of Engineering Environments in the UK using modern methods on a cloud based platform. This means we need a smart team that is able to work with our users to solve issues quickly and identify areas where we can improve our tooling/process.
We are looking to grow our team to help refresh our tools and move to a hybrid cloud environment, which is a big refresh programme happening worldwide in Thales, and is a great opportunity to change engineers’ experiences of tools.
Key tasks/Responsibilities:
Support industry leading tools on our cloud-based Azure infrastructureIdentify ways of improving our current processes and remedy through the use of automationSupport delivery teams with automated tools and scripts to provision infrastructure resources (compute, network & storage) in a simple and efficient mannerWork with our users to resolve their issues and build solutions to prevent futher issues.About you:

We are looking for someone who is pasionate about helping people and supporting them so that they can get back to work as quickly andd smoothly as possible. You should be an excellent problem solver and enjoy developing solutions to whatever challenge is presented.
Experience with Python, Git, Ansible, Jfrog Platform (Artifactory/Xray) and Azure or similar is desirable but not essential

Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires you to be a UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
