Engineering Director- Cincinnati, OH

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide strategic and technical leadership to a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality project execution and professional development. Oversee the engineering design and implementation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, industrial piping, plumbing, and equipment retrofits. Collaborate cross-functionally with Project Managers, Estimators, and Superintendents to deliver integrated solutions that meet client needs and budgetary goals. Develop and review engineered drawings, equipment specifications, and technical reports with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Maintain and expand client relationships through consultative engagement and solution-oriented service delivery. Lead project planning meetings and contribute to business development, budgeting, and strategic planning initiatives. Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and licensure requirements across multiple states. Identify and resolve technical challenges on job sites, providing expert guidance and innovative solutions. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and client satisfaction.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the ideal candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in multiple U.S. states is required. Minimum of 8  years of progressive engineering experience, including leadership or management responsibilities. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline (advanced degrees or equivalent experience preferred). Demonstrated expertise in HVAC systems, piping, plumbing, and mechanical design. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to develop and implement effective engineering solutions. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote). Skilled in Bluebeam and other industry-standard design and collaboration tools.
