Job Title: Engineering Director

Job Duties: The Raymond Corporation seeks an Engineering Director in Greene, NY to plan, organize, implement, and direct the activities, resources, and people for assigned divisional/multisite/corporate projects and areas of responsibility. Ensure goals and objectives are clearly aligned with and implemented in support of the strategic planning. Provide leadership and guidance to subordinates. Develop and manage budget and utilize corporate resources to maximize effectiveness across the organization. Mentor and coach employees, sharing job specific knowledge. Encourage training and development opportunities. Manage performance through clear goal setting in timely and meaningful performance evaluations and discussions

to foster an environment of open communication. Represent the Company in negotiations with suppliers, service providers and/or customers where outcomes have a significant impact on

the company’s profitability and success. Champion continuous improvement initiatives and foster an environment where continuous improvement activities thrive. Utilize comprehensive/indepth understanding of customer requirements and focus on high leverage opportunities to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensure all members of division(s)/functional areas of responsibility are committed to proactively meeting or exceeding customer needs. Proactively seek opportunities to break down organizational barriers. Promote an environment of collaboration, trust, and professional relationships. Set the standard for positive employee relations by treating all employees with dignity and respect, and by ensuring consistent and fair implementation of company policies across divisions/sites within areas of responsibility. Utilize Toyota Production System (TPS) philosophies and execute Manufacturing Engineering and Operations plans, including the most efficient use of staffing, budgets, capital, and processes. Create sound, documented engineering work processes that eliminate waste and optimize use of talent. Drive predictive maintenance analytics and the continuous progress toward high utilization of plant capital. May work at various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States every third week. Annual salary: $146,935 to $195,968.

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field plus 10 progressive years of experience in a manufacturing environment in: (1) Managing multi-site manufacturing operations; (2) Manufacturing processes, quality control, and cost management; (3) CAD/CAM systems and process optimization software; (4) Manufacturing Technologies using fabrication, welding, paint, and assembly; (5) Windows or Linux and Microsoft Office; and (6) IoT Solutions. Within the above 10 years, must have 5 years of experience in a leadership role managing people.
