Engineering Coordinator

Our client based in Newcastle is looking for an Engineering Coordinator. This role is on an initial one-year contract based outside IR35. As the Engineering Coordinator you will have the following:
Key responsibilities, accountabilities, and decision ownership: Provide technical coordination between engineering teams, acting as the interface between design organisations. Monitor programme and report on deliverables progress. Support coordination of internal assurance and review activities. Monitor supplier performance and assist in managing via contractual mechanisms. Chair and record meetings ensuring actions are logged and followed up. Support the Principal Designers Representative in chairing and coordinating hazard reviews. Liaise with construction teams to prioritise design activities. Coordinate technical queries between site team and design office. Core competencies, knowledge and experience: Minimum 3yrs experience within a Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline. Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders. Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and efficient manner. Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable county, province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines. Must have technical / professional qualifications: Accredited degree or global equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline. Excellent use of Microsoft Office suite. Fluent in English Language. Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD &/or Revit Full UK driving license. Desirable: Experience in delivering power or transmission infrastructure projects, or projects within a heavily regulated environment. Desirable: Experience working with BIM models
