Introduction:

 

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering Coordinator to join our Services Business Line (SVS) team responsible for Engineered Products serving the customers utilizing Grinding, Bulk, Pyro and Smelting (GBP) product lines at Metso. This role will develop and implement a workforce management process through active maintenance of lists and schedules that serve as task management tools for the engineering department and provide intra-departmental visibility of project status. Support areas include developing standard processes, identifying resources for execution, support resource management, maintaining schedules and reporting on progress.

 

In this position, you will report to the Manager, Research & Technological Development (RTD) & Product Development.
 
This position will be located in York, PA (US) but, we are willing to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options; and this role may involve up to % of travel.
 
What you’ll do:

 

•    Develop and actively maintain engineering activity schedules
•    Create detailed action item lists and reports to facilitate project execution.
•    Coordination of projects in cross-functional teams globally.
•    Provide communication to ensure clear and accurate reporting on progress.
•    Project scoping, project planning including timeline, resourcing, and cost.
•    Provide input to facilitate process improvement. 
•    Other duties as assigned.

 

Who you are:

 

•    Associate’s degree in Engineering or Business
•    Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Planner or Coordinator role.
•    Excellent organizational skills combined with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
•    Experience in scheduling and cost control
•    Fluency in English communications (verbal and written).
•    Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to develop strong trusting relations in order to gain support and achieve results.
•    Contributes to a performance culture in the team.
•    Work in an international and diverse business environment. 
•    Self-directed and motivated. 
•    Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
•    Proficiency with the MS Office suite of products.
