Cloud Development
The Cloud Development Team within Core Engineering is responsible for enabling the use of public cloud services, as well as infrastructure management practices within the firm. You will be working as part of a global, multidisciplinary team responsible for researching, architecting, and building cutting-edge tools, systems and best practices for Engineers across Goldman Sachs. We are at an early stage of modernizing our application stacks around cloud native principles, and migrating business workloads to the cloud. You will be directly helping to implement and influence technology strategies that will give our business a competitive edge.

Basic Qualifications:
2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience (more experienced professionals are desired) with at least 1+ years of familiarity with AWS services Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Familiarity with disciplines of enterprise software development such as configuration and release management, source code and version controls along with operating considerations such as monitoringExperience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline).Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.Experience with Javascript / Typescript / NodeProficient using relational and NoSQL database technologiesExperience building transactional systems and strong understanding of software architectureStrong written and verbal communication skillsExposure to containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).Basic understanding of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK Stack).General knowledge of networking, security, and system administration in cloud environments.Skilled in implementing architectural governanceAbility to establish trusted partnerships with product leads, and executive level stakeholdersComfort with agile operating models
