Engineering Change Specialist II

Objective: 

Supporting introduction, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of all Engineering Change
Management (ECM) processes, methods and tools within the plant.Being the key contact for ECM topics within the plant and educating, coordinating and advising the corresponding
key users.
Assuring ECM processes, methods and tools are applied according to HELLA standards.
Supporting that application of ECM yields a cost-efficient, fast and effective introduction, evaluation and
realization of engineering changes within time-to-market projects and series production.

 

A Engineering Change Management
1 Assuring a correct application of the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process within the location

2 Managing local and supporting global standardization projects for ECM as well as proactively participating
in and contributing to the global ECM network

3 Supporting the implementation of local ECM pilots and the roll-out of ECM processes, methods and tools
within the location

4 Surveying local ECM processes, including creation of reports (Data Warehouse, SAP Reports etc.) and
reporting to Head of Launch and Change Management, Head of Internal Factory, Plant Manager, Program
Management etc.

5 Monitoring correct and consistent setup, maintenance and update of ECM-relevant master data (BOM,
Work Centers, Routings, Production Versions etc.)

6 First point of contact for change notifications

7 Supporting tracking of Program Management so that the budget reimbursement linked to the change
notifications is done for the location

8 Collecting local requirements, feedback as well as Lessons Learned and contributing them to the global
ECM network

9 Moderating, pre- and post-processing engineering change and phase-out meetings within the plant

 

B Training
1 Training of local key users (e.g. Manufacturing Engineers, Project Managers Operations, Logistics, OPEI).
This includes training for application of relevant HELLA instructions and forms as well as relevant tools.

2 Creating ECM training material of local relevance as well as supporting creation of training material of
global relevance for MyTalentCompass in accordance with Skills Management and Training guidelines

3 Transferring practical ECM experience to key users

4 Conditionally, supporting other locations by training ECM processes, methods and tools
