Engineering Cad Technician

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Structural Revit Technician to join our engineering and design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and high-quality structural drawings using Autodesk Revit and other BIM tools, supporting the delivery of engineering solutions across a wide range of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain structural BIM models using Autodesk RevitPrepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and documentation for building structures including steel, concrete, timber, and masonryCoordinate with engineers, architects, and other technicians to ensure models and drawings meet project specificationsImplement and adhere to company and industry BIM standards and protocolsParticipate in clash detection and resolve coordination issues through collaborationManage drawing revisions, updates, and file organization throughout project lifecycles

Requirements

Associate degree or diploma in drafting, design technology, or a related fieldMinimum 2–3 years of experience working in a structural drafting or BIM technician roleProficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and related BIM toolsStrong understanding of structural design principles and construction documentationExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAttention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on commercial, residential, or infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with Navisworks, Dynamo, or other BIM-enhancing softwareBasic knowledge of structural engineering codes and practices

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
