Job Description

Engineering and Maintenance Manager

To manage and co-ordinate all maintenance activities relating to site equipment and to ensure engineering personnel are adequately motivated and skilled to undertake such relevant activities in accordance with KraftHeinz policies and procedures. This will contribute to ensuring that all production meets company targets, market requirements, within specification and in a safe manner. 

Manage / Lead key engineering projects for site. Implement KHMS and partner with other functional departments to deliver site priorities. Coach and mentor maintenance team.

Primary Responsibilities:

To ensure maintenance procedures and all equipment meet product safety requirements and meet the safety of all personnel. Ensure all OH&S and environmental policies and procedures are adhered to. (Engineering standards across the whole site)

Plan, lead, organise and control the Electrical, Projects, Site Service and Engineering planning teams so that they meet company goals and standards

Regularly review Engineering budget and assist the operational engineering teams to spent in line with agreed levels.

Preventative and planned maintenance Scheduling

Manage and/or assist with capital projects, monitoring Investments, ensuring justification, request, implementation and reporting assisting vertical start-ups.

Maintain a highly skilled, competent and motivated workforce

Manage engineering systems, processes and documentation to ensure nominated QRMP standards are adhered to and maintained

Ensure optimum energy/water consumption at factory level, by implementing proper maintenance activities to the factory assets

Ensure all utilities are adequate to meet the needs of production requirements. All utilities that come into contact with product are treated according to the food safety criteria of the product and processes.

Resourcing for key roles

Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all KraftHeinz Food Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Ethical and Human Resources policies, programs and goals.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Engineering degree or equivalent (mandatory)

Communication & Delegation

Strategy & Execution

Analytical Skills & Prioritization

Operational Maintenance Activities

Project Management

CAPEX & Maintenance Budget Management

People & Performance Management

Food industry and/or packaging experience desirable

MDWT / Lean Manufacturing experience with the focus on Continuous Improvement

Minimum 10 years’ practical experience in the manufacturing industry

Comprehensive knowledge of OH&S and EPA regulations and systems

Successful leadership of semi-autonomous work teams
