Job Description
The Engineering and Maintenance Manager is responsible for the design, coordination, planning, and implementation of programs related to engineering and maintenance. This includes the design and installation of equipment and processes, preventive and proactive maintenance, and plant operation equipment and tools.
ResponsibilitiesManage a team of engineers and maintenance staff.Review and discuss plant processes, equipment issues, and improvement measures with Plant Manager and other operations managers.Develop and maintain a robust continuous improvement program for efficient operation of plant stationary equipment and manufacturing.Direct maintenance activities on utility systems to ensure continuous supply of heat, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.Plan, develop, and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and optimize labor and material utilization.Direct training, performance evaluations, and corrective measures to improve employee performance and familiarize workers with company policies.Collaborate with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve problems and recommend operational improvements.Identify areas for improvement and draft departmental objectives to enhance safety, operational efficiency, and cost reduction.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial).5+ years of experience in metal fabrication.2+ years of experience managing a team of engineers.Experience working with industrial machinery, production, manufacturing engineering, operations management, design, troubleshooting, electrical systems, burners, tubing, hydraulics, pneumatics, project management, quality assurance, operation, combustion, water treatment, cooling towers, baghouse, bag house, pump house, and motors.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in in-house equipment design.Ability to create machine documentation and schematics for outdated equipment.Baghouse regulation experience.5-10 years in management.Work Environment
Outdoor aluminum manufacturing environment with large industrial equipment, including furnaces and boilers. The company is a leading supplier for the aerospace and automotive industry.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
