Description:
You will be a hands-on, engineering hardware-focused technician supporting the Instrumentation group at Lockheed Martin. Our team is responsible for providing instrumentation support for a variety of testing applications, including dynamic, structural, and thermal testing, and you will play a key role in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team comprising research engineers, systems engineers, and test engineers.
What You Will Be Doing
As a technician, you will be responsible for providing instrumentation support for testing applications, including:
• Building test setups, including sensor and data acquisition systems
• Building cables for test equipment as needed
• Assisting in configuring data acquisition systems
• Troubleshooting issues with test equipment and sensors
• Reviewing test plans for sensor placement
• Working with a variety of sensor types, including:
• Accelerometers
• LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformers)
• String pots
• Strain gages
• Load cells
• Pressure transducers
• Thermocouples
• Verifying calibration curves for sensors and troubleshooting their operation

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Experience with all sensor types used in the lab including, accelerometers, LVDT, string pots, strain gages, load cells, pressure transducers, and thermocouples.
• Experience verifying calibration curves for the sensors listed above as well as troubleshoot their operation.
• Demonstrated experience with Test Equipment and Test Methodologies
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• 5+ years of instrumentation lab experience or 3+ years experience with Associates Degree in Electronics
• Experience deriving calibration curves for strain, LVDT, string pot, accelerometer, and pressures
• Experience with Dewesoft data acquisition systems operation and their calibration
• Experience with troubleshooting using with meters, scopes, and data acquisition systems

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
