Arcadis is looking for a Engineering Advisor/Senior Consultant MEP (f/m/d) to join our Smart Buildings team in Barcelona, Spain. If you are an experienced consultant and ambitious to achieve your career potential, read on.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Engineering technical background and good personal soft skills with innovative and digital orientation. Will be part of our Smart Buildings team reporting to Team Leader MEP Engineer.
Role accountabilities:
As a member of our Smart Buildings team the tasks to be performed include:
MEP Consultancy, with a focus on Technical Due Diligence, Project Management, and Project Monitoring services. Experienced in identifying potential risks and limitations during the sale and purchase of diverse asset types — including logistics, residential, retail, offices, or data centers. Skilled in the estimation of CapEx for future investments to support effective property management and decision-making. Proposals for improvement and optimisation. Assistance to the client during the entire transaction process. Working with clients and managing their expectations and requirements. Elaboration of technical reports, cost plans and advisory on building services from a technical, planning, economic and quality point of view. Lead and Communicate with Contractors & Subcontractors to assist them in working to the Project Schedule as it pertains to MEP’s. Represent ARCADIS with Owner, Architects, Consultants, Government Authorities, Contractors and Subcontractors. Administer financial aspects of the Owner’s contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders. Build effective working relationships with clients and the ARCADIS project team members. Attend all schedule and management MEP meetings necessary to monitor and manage the project, chairing as appropriate. Financial Management. Manage all requisitions and payments including lien releases and maintains best possible cash flow throughout the project, communicating issues proactively.Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Master's degree in Industrial Engineering (Professional Registration as an Engineer). +5 years of relevant professional experience (Background in consultancy is really valuable). Full professional English (reading, writing, and speaking) is a must. Knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques and concepts. Essential knowledge of CTE and standards/regulations related to building services. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Tools and software relevant to job functions (AutoCad, Presto, Project). Timely delivery, consistency, and quality of deliverable to team and client expectations, in compliance with our business quality systems. Willingness to travel for business purposes when required, generally short national trips with same-day return.
