Our Engineering team is dedicated to driving improvements within the engineering change management process and ensuring compliance with ISO, FDA, Health Canada, UL, and other regulations.

What You'll Do

As an Engineering Administrator, you will:

Generate, control, file, distribute, and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.Update product structures, BOM revisions, and associated information within the Western product lifecycle management system.Assign part numbers, track NMR’s and ECR’s, and manage an engineering change database.Ensure compliance with ISO, FDA, Health Canada, UL, and other regulations.Maintain control over all Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Engineering Change Requests (ECR’s), and Initial Releases (IR’s) processed through Engineering.Process all ECN, ECR, and Initial Release documentation through the change control process in a timely manner.Lead and coordinate engineering change processes and weekly ECR meetings.Coordinate implementation of engineering changes with other functional areas.Update and maintain Western product lifecycle management system including item masters, part numbers, revisions, bills of materials (BOM’s), product structures, and routings.Maintain, control, and organize master Engineering files.Respond to print and routing requests (electronic and hardcopy).Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the engineering change process.Provide product data and systems support for engineering projects.Enforce engineering standards (drafting, design, etc.).Support cost reduction projects in support of AOP objectives.Perform other activities as assigned by the Director of Mechanical Engineering and/or VP of Engineering.Support Lean engineering and manufacturing activities.

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).Familiarity with part item masters, multi-level BOMs, Routings, and associated.3 years of relevant experience preferred.Knowledge of engineering documentation, change control process experience, and engineering file vault systems.Experience with ISO 9001/13485 and Medical Device Regulations and documentation process preferred.Specific experience with Infor XA, Microsoft 360 ERP system, or others preferred.Strong organizational, detail-oriented, process-oriented, team-oriented, and adaptable skills.Ability to work independently with good time management.Ability to understand drawings, prints, and related quality, engineering, and corporate processes a plus.
