_Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented_ **_Supplier Quality Engineer_** _to join our team in_ **_Apopka, FL_** _._
_The Supplier Performance Management Engineer will spend considerable efforts in developing program assessments to determine supplier quality risk, specification compliance reviews, and affordable risk mitigation approaches. The candidate must be a self-starter who can solve problems with minimal supervision. This role is expected to proactively manage supplier quality to drive down quality issues and improve delivery._

+ _Proactively manage Supplier Quality risks, driving down supplier escapes._
+ _Develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems._
+ _Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance._
+ _Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and must be knowledgeable in and capable of assessing both supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures._
+ _Conducts product and process verification activities, monitors supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues._
+ _Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically reviews supplier performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list._
+ _Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations, and the discrepancy reporting process._
+ _Keeps management informed of supplier performance, quality status, and risks. Coordinates and oversees the implementation of the Supplier Quality plan throughout all program phases._
+ _Actively engages in supplier evaluation, qualification, and selection as part of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and as new procurements are required on existing programs._
+ _Manages implementation of Supplier Quality processes, including supplier approval activities, source selection evaluations, supplier classification designation (Critical, Key, and Standard), development and execution of risk assessments and mitigation plans, and supplier quality requirements development and flow-downs._
+ _Travel to the Supplier as needed to support the program._
+ _Ability to solve problems_
+ _Ability to work with minimum supervision._
**_This position may be filled at either Level 2 or Level 3, depending on the candidate's experience._**
**_Basic Qualifications for a Supplier Quality Engineer:_**
+ _Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering discipline._
+ _2 years of experience working in an engineering capacity_
+ _Experience developing, collecting, and analyzing metrics._
+ _Experience with measurement analysis methods._
+ _Experience in drawing interpretation to ANSI Y14.5._
+ _Ability to obtain a secret security clearance_
+ _(U.S. citizenship required)._
**_Basic Qualifications for a Principal Supplier Quality Engineer:_**
+ _Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering discipline._
+ _5 years of experience working in an engineering capacity_
+ _Experience developing, collecting, and analyzing metrics._
+ _Experience with measurement analysis methods._
+ _Experience in drawing interpretation to ANSI Y14.5._
+ _Ability to obtain a secret security clearance_
+ _(U.S. citizenship required)._
**_Preferred Qualifications for Both Levels:_**
+ _An established working knowledge of J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610._
+ _In-depth knowledge of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), including experience managing Quality issues with CCA suppliers (Contract Manufacturers)._
+ _SAP Business System experience_
+ _Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification_
+ _Quality Engineering Experience_
+ _Earned Value Experience_
+ _Experience working in the aerospace environment_
+ _Secret Clearance_

Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $105,400.00Salary Range 2: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
