We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.

This position is located at Bell’s headquarters facility in Ft. Worth, TX.

Standards and Calibration (Across Multiple Levels)

Bell is seeking aCalibration Engineerto join the Engineering Laboratories. The Calibration Engineer at Bell is responsible for developing calibration processes for test and measurement equipment supporting Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Flight Test. Calibration engineers work directly with the equipment users as well as original equipment manufacturers to solve complex equipment issues while following recommended and best practices from industry standards.

What you’ll be doing as a Calibration Engineer

Work cross functionally with end users, quality, and equipment manufacturers to understand the measurement requirements and processes utilizing test and measurement equipment and identifying critical parameters of interest.Develop calibration procedures for test and measurement equipment by leveraging existing procedures, manufacturer’s documentation, and industry standards.Support Standards and Calibration Laboratory technicians with problem solving complex issues.Prioritize equipment support based on program and scheduling needs.Monitor the laboratory for capability gaps and areas with improvement opportunities.

Skills You Bring To this Role

Experience and knowledge related to measurement equipment from the following areas of focus, Temperature/Humidity, Pressure, Force, and Electrical.Proficiency with basic office computer software, specifically the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).Ability to prioritize work, attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset.Excellent communicator, must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, and brief leaders/customers.

What you need to be successful

We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate.Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.Minimum of 2 years' measurement and/or calibration engineering experience required
