Job Title - Engineer / Senior Engineer - Production

Job Profile Summary:

The role of the Production Supervisor is to guarantee manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows. The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.

Entry-level requirements:

Degree in mechanical engineering or related field.4 to 6 years of manufacturing experience, preferably from escalator industryExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent time management skills.Ability to multitask.Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Performance Measures:

Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar roleExperience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and toolsAdvanced skills in MS OfficeOrganizational and leadership abilitiesCommunication and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated with a results-driven approach Problem-solving skills

Professional requirements:

Excellent knowledge in operation, production (lean manufacturing and 5 S principles), quality (Six   sigma), logistics and supply chain managementProject and change management skillsGood knowledge of automation systems Labor law and industrial relations knowledge is an added advantage

Behavioral competence:

Execution, winning through people, Decision making, Collaboration, Stress tolerance, Quality focus, Analysis and problem solving, Environmental awareness

What will you be doing?

Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employeesOrganize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedulesOversee and coach employeesEnsure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenanceCheck production output according to specificationsSubmit reports on performance and progressIdentify issues in efficiency and suggest improvementsTrain new, existing employees on how to safely use machinery and follow proceduresEnforce strict safety guidelines and company standards Develop people and keep them in high spirits
