Engineer – Production Planning

BE Mech / ElectronicsWorked in Production planning & control department for 2~5 years with SAP PP module.Hands on experience in SAP PP activities (End user).Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.MS office skills (SharePoint, MS Word, Excel, Power Point).Advance excel (Formula/Statistics method/Pivot tables).Know how on the quality management systems.

Skills and Repsonsibilities

Handling of Production order, production order scheduling, Production order Printing.Experience in material planning with MRP process.Material requisition/PO creation for intercompany business.Conversant with Capacity planning tools/methodology.Work Center creations & change management.Must coordinate with production team to setup the capacity at each work centres.Knowhow of SAP change management process for BOMs/Routings etc.Knowhow on the BOM & routing maintenance in the production order.Setting up the KANABN process for material procurement.Knowhow of inventory management tools.  Analyse inventory trends & take needed action to have optimum inventory at plant.Must have know-how on the safety stock calculations.Monitor material availability & coordinate with Purchase/Logistics teams to address shortages proactively.Participation in daily production meetings & presenting the data related to open orders, Backlog orders, Urgencies if any.Coordinate with order handling/marketing teams by expediting orders, reallocating material & managing the capacity constraints.Assists with maintenance of material masters in SAP.Excellent verbal & written communications skills, able to communicate cross functionally. Should be able to communicate fluently in English with external & internal stakeholders.Working experience with international environment will be added advantage.Capable of reading engineering drawings.MIS reporting – Daily production/Backlog/Reason for Delays/Material shortages etc.
