Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Engineer - Planning to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the successful planning and execution of construction projects, working collaboratively with project managers and team members to deliver high-quality results.

Develop and maintain project schedules using advanced planning software such as PrimaveraReview and analyze procurement and construction programs for contractors and subcontractorsPrepare comprehensive progress reports, graphs, and critical path analyses for weekly and monthly reportingMonitor actual progress against construction programs and report deviations to senior managementAssist in identifying project risks and opportunities, and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project timelinesCollaborate closely with site supervision teams to gather real-time progress updatesConduct independent site visits to evaluate contractor progress against established programsSupport the evaluation of potential additional works and variation proposalsMaintain detailed records of program monitoring to support claim evaluations and dispute resolutionsAssist in workshops and meetings to facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders

QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management5+ years of experience in roads construction or related worksProficiency in Primavera or similar project management softwareStrong understanding of construction methodologies and best practicesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy in scheduling and reportingOutstanding communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentExperience in the Middle East construction industry preferredKnowledge of UAE construction regulations and standards is a plusWillingness to conduct regular site visits and work in a dynamic project environment
