About the Role

Responsible for improving the overall quality performance of the product we deliver to our customers

The employee has the authority granted by the company through this document to make decisions for the benefit of the company to ensure the conformity of the product, its quality, functionality, the health and safety of the person who intervenes in the process according to quality, safety and environmental systems and customer specific requirements.

What You Will Do

Generates, interprets, and implements Quality system documentation.Elaborates Q.A. procedures based on safety regulations such as safety agencies (UL, CSA, TUV, EN54)Verify Engineering Changes (CNs) are implemented in the Production Process.Work Instructions (VJI/OMS) verification to include Critical to Quality Characteristics and/requirements.Create/Maintain Product Control Plans.Reviews in collaboration with Engineering and Production the quality requirements for the introduction of new products and processes, suggesting modifications of critical characteristics and improvements.Assures the application of non-conforming material control system (identification, segregation, and disposal).Analyze data trends to reduce/eliminate causes of variation, non-conformant conditions and/or waste.Drive action plans to close gaps at operations based on critical issues, unfavorable KPI results, customer feedback and/or continuous improvement activities.Participate in the design, procurement, and maintenance of process Poka-Yokes to increase first pass yield, pass yield; and reduce reworks, scrap and/or down times.Lead Customer Return investigation using internal problem-solving methodology, driving closure according with customer time expectations.Creation and sharing new product introduction deliverables based on schedule.Drive problem Solving Activities to their conclusion, making sure robust corrective actions are in place and a system is created to maintain them.  Additionally, seek opportunities within the plant to implement corrective actions in similar areas where the same type of issue may occur.Lead MRB/Red Alert meetings, focused on the real non-conformance and disposition based on facts.Perform audits to the established Quality System.Participate as an auditor in the assigned LPA audits.Maintains relationship with the Production area to solve diverse situations linked to any failure of the established Quality system.Appraises the performance of subordinates and recommends the appropriate development plans.Trains Quality Inspectors/ TechniciansAbility to communicate and present information to peers, customers and upper management.Designs, supervise, modify, and manage the methods of inspection of the first unit, process, and final product.Supervise that the Q.A. inspections are performed accordingly with the established quality standards and plans.Supervises the sampling of final products for final audit.

What You Need to Be Successful

BS Technical Engineering Degree3+ years of prior experience in industrial product manufacturing environment3+ years of prior experience as Q.A.Write and speak fluent English (90 %)Computer knowledge (Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO 9001)Statistical Process Control (SPC)Core Tools knowledgeSix Sigma KnowledgeProficient using problem Solving methodologies, such as: 8D/A3Green belt certificationIPC-A-610 Training (Preferable: Certification)ESD training/certificationConformal Coating ExperienceSMT Process: Electrical Component set-up, Screen Printing, Solder Paste Inspection, Placement Verification, Reflow profiles verifications.
