JOB SUMMARY:
The manufacturing engineer’s role is to provide direct engineering support for the repair and overhaul operations area to ensure that the production area has proper documentation and tooling. Act as a liaison between operations and quality, development engineering, and tooling to ensure that the production area has everything required to perform maintenance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read and interpret technical blueprintEnable the business to accept new parts or new damage type for repair, thus expanding company’s capability list and portfolioWork to improve the manufacturing process to improve quality and reduce cycle timeAssist with operations training and implementation of new products and processes as they are introducedAssist Quality dept in identifying root cause and implementing corrective actionsDevelop tools for design and fabrication processingVet new processes to determine feasibility and costLead RCCA efforts to drive root cause and corrective actionLead improvement efforts with a mixed discipline team to drive waste out of internal processes, improving cycle times and maintaining qualityProvide training for both equipment and processes to operations and engineering employeesJOB SUMMARY:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field requiredMinimum 2 years’ engineering or related technical experience requiredQUALIFICATIONS:
Technical writing expertisRequires self-starter skills and the ability to investigate the problem statement for each condition, part, and proposed solutioAbility to thrive in a team environment that requires peer reviews and cross-functional sharing of infoTechnical and operational understanding of various maintenance operation processing techniques, and mechanical systemsKnowledgeable in computer applications relating to the job including, Microsoft Office Suite, CAD/CAM software, and other aerospace applications Project management skills including the ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver timely resultsAble to run analytical justifications through hand calculations.
