Training Strategy & Implementation: Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy aligned with new product and technology launches, encompassing processes, facilities, tooling, and equipment. Resource Coordination: Coordinate the availability of training resources, including facilities, equipment, instructors (internal and OEM), and training materials. Product Specialist Group (PSG) & Launch Skilled Trades Specialist (LSTS) Program Support: Support the PSG and LSTS programs by communicating roles and responsibilities, tracking essential training, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key resources. Launch Task Management: Implement, assess, and report on all launch training activities, ensuring adherence to Value Optimization (VO) & Production Throughput Optimization (PTO) related launch tasks and deliverables (e.g., LQOS Tasks 203, 822, 116) and the Training Plan for Every Person (TPFEP). Training Systems & Infrastructure: Ensure appropriate training systems are in place to support launch training activities, including classrooms, static training areas, simulators, and training vehicles. Budget Management: Develop, secure, and manage a multi-million dollar launch training budget, pursuing federal, state, and other funding sources to supplement plant training efforts. Supplier & OEM Training Oversight: Ensure training specifications are utilized by suppliers/OEMs and other providers, and that supplier technical training course materials are accessible electronically to plant personnel. Project Management: Utilize project management skills to manage training-related tasks, standards, timing, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Tracking & Reporting: Utilize appropriate tracking tools (e.g., GPDS, VO 203 and PTO 822 Templates, OKT8 Scorecard, TPFEP Calendar) to maintain and report on training record completion. Training Effectiveness Evaluation: Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of training activities through data collection, analysis, and reporting. Monitor the effectiveness and certification (if required) of internal and external learning and development facilitators. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a resource to relevant union leadership and plant management personnel in determining the best selection process for training programs. Experience in production, engineering, and/or maintenance in a manufacturing environment is preferred Ability to work effectively with all levels of management, union, and hourly workforce Experience facilitating and coordinating the development of comprehensive training plans for manufacturing and/or assembly plants Experience leading/directing/coaching manufacturing and maintenance training specialists Experience with project management Experience working with training tracking systems Experience in developing and managing a training budget Experience selecting/developing training programs and purchasing technical training equipment Experience with the integration of technical training within several areas of the organization Ability to effectively utilize basic MS Office software and utilize Aurora/Ariba Procure to Pay (Purchase Requisition) system to create/manage/pay for purchased training-related services Training Strategy & Implementation: Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy aligned with new product and technology launches, encompassing processes, facilities, tooling, and equipment.
