**Large Pump/Motor Engineer – Plant Farley** **Southern Nuclear Operating Company, headquartered in Birmingham, AL, operates Southern Company's six nuclear reactors at three locations in Georgia and Alabama: two operating reactors at Plant Vogtle, near Waynesboro, GA; two operating reactors at Plant Hatch, near Baxley, GA; and two operating reactors at Plant Farley, near Dothan, AL. In addition, construction activities are well underway for two new AP1000 Units (V3&4) at our Plant Vogtle location in Waynesboro, GA.** **Job Summary** **This position reports to the CMO Manager in the site Plant Support Engineering department. This position will serve as the owners of assigned component(s), acting as the station's focal point to increase component reliability and performance, reduce operating and maintenance costs, and maintain compliance with the plant design basis and regulatory requirements. The specific assignments are in the areas of:** + **Large Pumps** + **Large Motors** **Engineers at Southern Nuclear may have opportunities to manage special projects. Also, engineers typically own key refueling outage assignments.
