Your ‘day to day’

 

As an Engineer Laboratory Systems Operations, you will support and improve laboratory systems (e.g., Life Sciences LIMS, Omics LIMS, SDMS) within the Non-Clinical Sciences department, facilitating the collection of user requirements, following changes, and writing specifications and test documentation. You will also perform duties in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) according to the RS 813.112.1 Ordonnance sur les bonnes pratiques de laboratoire (OBPL) du 18 mai 2005 (Etat le 12 juillet 2005) and the respective PMI procedures.

 

More specifically, you'll

 

Ensure Operational Management, gather and document requirements from business process owners and users, follow-up with IT and QA and report progress to the Lead Laboratory Systems Operations, guarantee systems are maintained according to user requirements and GLP standards, troubleshoot and resolve system issues in collaboration with IT and QA.Act as the validation engineer for laboratory systems, writing specifications and tests, and performing or supervising testing under business responsibility.Provide support to system users, ensuring they are trained and proficient in using the systems, develop and maintain user guides and training materials, conduct training sessions for new users and refresher courses as neededWhen required by procedures, act as a business administrator of laboratory systems. 

 

Who we’re looking for

 

Master’s (preferred) or Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience and skills.Additional certifications or specialized training in laboratory systems or project management are preferred.Minimum 3 years’ experience related to laboratory systems operations (e.g., LIMS, ELN, SDMS, CDS).Sound experience in troubleshooting and maintaining laboratory systems.Experience in computerized systems validation (GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11).Strong collaboration skills with IT and QA departments.Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required.
