As an Engineer IIoT & Smart Manufacturing, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining IIoT solutions and industrial digitalization at the shopfloor level. You will integrate smart factory solutions with existing manufacturing systems (ERP, MES, etc.) and optimize data flow across connected devices, ensuring interoperability and efficiency. Your role bridges hardware, software, and industrial automation, making production processes more intelligent and data driven. In this role, you will be part of a strong team in Digitalization Global Manufacturing.
What You Will Do
Implement IIoT-enabled smart manufacturing solutions for real-time process optimization.
Integrate sensor networks, edge computing, and industrial automation systems with enterprise applications.
Work closely with OT (Operational Technology) teams to connect industrial systems with digital platforms.
Support cybersecurity measures for secure IIoT communication in manufacturing.
Analyze shopfloor data to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement.
What You Need to Be Successful
3+ years of experience in IIoT, industrial automation, or smart manufacturing engineering.
Strong knowledge of industrial networks (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, PROFIBUS, Ethernet/IP).
Experience with edge computing, real-time data processing, and cloud-based IIoT solutions.
Familiarity with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and sensor integration.
Understanding of MES, ERP, and WMS for manufacturing environments.
Programming experience in Python, Node.js, C++, C# or relevant IIoT frameworks.
What Makes You Eligible
Fluent in English in technical conversations.
Willing to travel up to 20% (domestic & international).
Comfortable working in a hybrid or remote environment with a base location in Europe (HU, DE), Asia (CN, IN, TH), or North America.
Experience in collaborating remotely with cross-functional teams.
