ZF Active Safety and Electronics US, LLC has job openings (multiple) for the position of Engineer III - Electronics based out of its location in Farmington Hills, MI.
Job Duties: Responsible for the test concept, test strategy, test creation, test implementation, and test execution.. Is responsible for System Integration test case execution. Defines test concept and test strategy for the assigned functionality. Selects test methods and test allocation according to the ISO26262. Reviews and approves system architecture from the validation point of view. Ensures bi-directional traceability between test cases and system requirements. Creates effort estimation for creation/update of the test specification. Creates the test case specification and the related test scripts. Responsible for Test implementation, Test execution, Test reporting and test maintenance. Reports concern records according to the Problem Resolution Management process. Supports test cases reviews as per process. Derives test conditions, test procedure based on the test basis, and uses methods documented in the test specification process. Performs gap and reuse analysis on Test Basis and Test Specification. Reviews testability of the requirements and the specifications of dynamic behavior and the interfaces. Supports the project team to achieve testable requirements, architecture designs, and interfaces. Specification and release of the test environment (per release). Specifies how to test the object under test (i.e., test environment and test cases). Creates and maintains test scripts in accordance with system architecture (interfaces and dynamic behavior). Documents and evaluates the test results (test reporting). Records deviations according to problem resolution management. A hybrid (in-office and telecommute) work schedule is available.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or closely related field, plus 2 years of experience in a role involving ECU module testing, ET&V testing, ADAS functionality testing, regression testing, robustness testing, and/or performance testing, and demonstrated experience with: Vector tools including CANoe Pro, CANape, and IBM DOORS; Project management using Windchill; Risk management using Clarity; Methods, procedures, and techniques required by functional safety standard (ISO 26262) and ISO29119; Automotive SPICE; Vector tools, including IBM DOORS, P-Diagram, Python, and C++; and Oscilloscope, Function generator, Lauterbach, Beagle and knowledge of VT system.
