LOCATION: 2130 Woodward Street, Austin, TX 78744
TITLE: Engineer II, Software
HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
DUTIES: Work with Product Management, customers and stakeholders to translate their wants into technical requirements.
Provide inputs to architecture design and solutions for new software, and actively participate in architectural review meetings.
Develop full stack web applications using the latest browser, server side, and database technologies.
Maintain and support, update and enhance software applications.
Build, maintain, and implement automated test frameworks and tools using standard methodologies.
Build and run continuous deployment technologies to enable efficient implementation of developed and improved software.
Work with the Release Train Engineer, Product Management, and the Development team to ensure quality software is developed and delivered according to the requirement specifications.
TRAVEL: Up to 25% domestic and international travel required.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience as a Technical Lead, Programmer Analyst, or related experience. Employer will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 2 years of experience as a Technical Lead, Programmer Analyst, or related experience as an equivalent alternative.
Required knowledge or experience with:
Client-server functionality, web browser technology, and OOD and Java fundamentals;
Java Technologies: Core Java, Java EE, Struts 2, Tiles, Spring, JDBC, Hibernate, JSP, JSTL, SOAP/WSDL, JAXB, EHCache, Maven, and Tomcat server;
JavaScript/Ajax, CSS, JSON, jQuery, HTML5, Bootstrap and Angular;
Agile Software Development process;
AWS DevOps, Azure, or GCP;
Linux and Windows;
Eclipse IDE, Git, Perforce, HPQC, Confluence, Jira, Subversion, Oracle Developer, and Selenium QC.
