Job Description

The purpose of this Knoxville, TN based job is to design, test, and implement new and/or improve existing features into Data & AI data products. 

Research, design, build, test, and track new descriptive and predictive applications for Data & AI that deliver impact to the organization.Assist in forming business strategy through exploratory data analysis and business understanding.Integrate data from disparate sources (internal and external) into data products that are consumed by business stakeholdersCreate and maintain architecture and systems documentation for analytical products developed by Data & AICreate and maintain data product source code in a source control repository (GitHub)Identify opportunities for improvement in data quality, which leads to performance and accuracy improvements in Data & AI data productsConsult on and execute opportunities for process automationImplement data structures using best practices for data modeling and visualizationIdentify opportunities for improvements to data quality to optimize data product performanceEstablish Data & AI Data best practices and build data products that provide single-source-of-truth foundational accuracyContinually improve ongoing data pipelines and simplify self-service support for busines stakeholders and Business AnalystsParticipate in Data and Analytics Governance best practices by documenting data structures, pipelines, and outputs across the entire organizationModel behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresDrive discussion with senior leaders to generate insightsComplete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or other quantitative discipline required, Master’s degree highly preferredMinimum 3 years' experience in analytics/engineering or related industries preferredExpertise in SQLExpertise in R or Python
