Overview Generate, evaluate, analyze, and design concepts for systems, components and assemblies to achieve new product requirements and current product improvements. Responsibilities Responsible for developing high quality products that meet customer delivery expectations. Plans, coordinates implementation of product releases and engineering change notices. Responsible for determining and improving overall quality and cost of product. Develop detailed specifications, detailed drawings and work within milestones, schedule, cost, ect. Completes design review meetings on technical and customer requirements. Initiate and produce all technical input required for manufacturing. Provide guidance and timely support during preproduction and first few production builds. Utilize contemporary techniques like Computer Aided Design, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Reliability Analysis, VA/VE ect. Responsible for maintaining integrity of our engineering systems. Will frequently work on projects or assignments in a team or group environment. Is responsible for developing good listening and communication skills. Prepares and presents reports and requested. Qualifications Formal Education Requirement: BS applicable engineering field or other technical degree 0-2 yr experience. CAD 3D modeling and drafting. Material selection and analysis. Design for Manufacturing. Sheet metal, plastics, heat exchangers knowledge. Mechanical testing and analysis. FEA or similar analysis tools. Closing date: September 15, 2025 The salary or hourly range of $55,055 $105,875 is just one component of Hussmann’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
