Highway Engineering, Civil 3D, Novapoint
**1. Design and Development:**
+ Collaborate with senior engineers and lead country stakeholders to create highway design plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
+ Utilize software programs (e.g., Civil 3D. AutoCAD, Novapoint etc.) to design and draft highway layout plans, vertical and horizontal alignments, intersection designs, and other project details include roadway modelling.
+ Conduct thorough research to identify the most effective and sustainable method, processes, and design routine for highway tender, construction, and maintenance.
+ Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
**2. Project Management:**
+ Assist for preparing cost and time estimates for highway projects, considering factors such as modelling complications, skills set, time, and environmental impact.
+ Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to deadlines and budget constraints. Anticipate and resolve any issues or risks and provide regular updates to senior engineer/ lead country leads.
+ Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and external agencies to procure resources and permits required for construction activities.
+ Conduct site visits and inspections to assess the quality of work and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the construction phase.
**3. Stakeholder Engagement:**
+ Foster effective communication, coordination, and collaboration within the highways team and cross-functional departments and lead country project managers in perspective of smooth project execution.
+ Conduct regular design execution oversee that for construction doability, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
+ Provide guidance and support during the design development phases, including the evaluation of design basis provided, identify design departures and mitigation opportunities, and present solutions for end-clients.
**Quality Assurance and Safety:**
+ Follow the quality control procedures and best practices throughout the design phase to ensure high-quality project delivery.
+ Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with design, safety, and environmental standards.
+ Collaborate with the design team to ensure the Quality Assurance documentation and records are maintained. Ensure all design activities, incoming and outgoings are undergone appropriate self check and review steps followed before delivery.
+ Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. A master’s degree is an advantage.
+ A minimum of 3 - 6 years of proven experience in highway engineering, preferably with a focus on planning, design, and construction of highways & roadway projects.
+ International projects exposure, codes and practices are preferred.
+ You will be competent using leading design software i.e. Civil 3D, AutoCAD. Knowledge on C3D-Naviate, Novapoint, Navisworks are preferred.
+ You should be able to understand and collaborate with other disciplines and multi-D schemes for their design incorporation in perspective of BIM modeling and clash review.
+ You should have clear understanding of Highways Design deliverables and its execution.
+ Preferred to have Nordics countries Highways design practice and exposure to the Euro code /TrV Swedish standards and roadway design manuals.
+ You should be able to demonstrate some experience and working knowledge of relevant technical design guidance and international standards, such as DMRB, MfS, TSRGD, HCD, and IAN 184 etc.
+ In-depth knowledge of highway design principles, codes, standards, and regulations.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose innovative and efficient solutions.
+ Excellent design and time management skills that ability to meet strict deadlines.
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and possess teamwork attitude.
+ Study and educate juniors on the requirements of Swedish Highways design Manuals and practices
+ Identify the Highways team advancement opportunities to enhance WSP Sweden/Nordics services.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment.
+ You will take responsibility for own personal development with the support of line manager and follow an agreed development plan.
