Project Mobilization & Execution
• Mobilize the internal team and necessary resources immediately upon receipt of the work order.
• Coordinate logistics and ensure timely deployment of equipment and manpower to the project site.
• Prepare a detailed execution plan, schedule and method statements for the geotechnical scope.
Subcontractor Management
• Identify, evaluate and empanel new subcontractors/vendors for geotechnical investigation works.
• Invite and collect quotations from multiple subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Negotiate and finalize subcontractor rates and terms in coordination with procurement, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
Technical Oversight
• Ensure that the investigation methodologies adopted (like boreholes, trial pits, SPT, rock coring, etc.) comply with project specifications and industry standards.
• Review and validate field test results and laboratory testing schedules.
• Provide technical guidance to field teams and subcontractors for maintaining data accuracy and consistency.
Quality & Safety Compliance
• Monitor on-site work for adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
• Ensure that all testing and sampling procedures are documented properly.
• Conduct periodic inspections and audits to ensure compliance with the scope of work and standards.
Coordination & Communication
• Serve as the single point of contact for all geotechnical activities on the project.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients and internal stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Maintain records of all correspondence, approvals and technical submittals related to geotechnical works.
Reporting & Documentation
• Ensure timely submission of field logs, laboratory test results and factual reports.
• Compile and review draft and final geotechnical investigation reports for completeness and accuracy.
• Submit final deliverables as per agreed timelines and formats.
Continuous Improvement
• Keep updated with industry best practices and technological advancements in geotechnical engineering.
• Recommend improvements in testing methodologies and data interpretation techniques.
• Build and maintain a database of subcontractor performance, pricing trends and investigation outputs for future reference.
