Engineer BB-010 Gearset and Shaft Design
Job Introduction:
Responsible for design for BB parts as gears & shafts, differentials, bearings, sealings screws & minor
Major Responsibilities:
Interface with plants, suppliers, purchasing and SQD (Supplier Quality Development) including collaboration in Simultaneous-Engineering-Meetings
Creation or initiation of technical drawings, 3D models, and BOMs, including data exchange with internal and external customers/suppliers
Creation and maintenance of book of requirements and technical specifications
Creation and tracking of change requests and initiation of change orders in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
Conducting design and functional approvals
Initiation, supervision, and evaluation of calculations to be performed internally/externally
Performing package investigation and tolerance calculations
Handling of design deviations and process change requests
Coordination with other departments (BB, FG, and PL) on interface topics
Analysis of failure mechanisms in collaboration with laboratories, testing, plants and suppliers
Presentation of problems and solutions in internal committees and to external business partners
Participation in problem-solving teams (PLT) / 8Ds including documentation
Participation in supplier evaluations/technical reviews
Continual documentation and implementation of lessons learned and best practices
Performing calculations using KissSoft, Solid Thinking Inspire, and/or SMT Masta
Knowledge and Education:
Successfully completed studies in Mechanical Engineering / Automotive Engineering (Bachelor, Master) and several years of project experience desirable
Experience in the fields of design and development
Experience in manufacturing technologies for gears and shafts
Proficient in 3D CAD system Catia V5
Independent, solution-oriented, and dedicated work approach
Experience in collaborating with PLT/8D teams
Strong communication and teamwork skills, flexibility
Confident demeanor with customers, development, and collaboration partners
Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
Work Experience:
5 to 8 Years of experience
Skills and Competencies:
Necessary: PLM, OT, Catia V5
