Closing Date: 18/08/2025Salary of £54,227.89 including shift allowance + competitive benefits package with pension, shares scheme and bonus.
Our exciting Menstrie site sits within our Scotch category as part of our Maturation footprint. Menstrie plays a significant role in the network with warehousing and filling operations. The site was built in the 1950s and has 19 warehouses with 57 cells, holding over a million whisky casks. Our palletised whisky filling store fills 1.9 million litres per week.
About the RoleAs a Mechanical Engineer at our Menstrie site, you’d be responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvement of all mechanical assets across the site. Working closely with operations teams, CAPEX and other maintenance groups you will ensure the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance, repair, problem solving and improvement of assets and their availability.
What you’ll be doing:Working with Operations to develop and deliver focused improvements to drive plant uptime and cost competitiveness, you will provide feedback on mechanical improvement workstreams relative to sites or engineering. Participate with relevant collaborators on Continuous Improvement.
Key Responsibilities include:
Use of our Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP-PM) for raising, updating, and recording of maintenance tasks in accordance with a weekly asset care delivery plan.
Support Maintenance Managers & Business Leaders and act as a point of contact for asset care Manufacturing Excellence (TRACC) metric delivery at sites.
Ensure compliance to maintenance regulatory standards within the area.
Respond promptly and efficiently to plant breakdown situations. Analyse, fault find and repair, then root cause problems to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.
Accurately record and promptly report the outcome of maintenance issues via SAP MMS to facilitate the sharing of standard process.
ShiftsYou will work a 3-shift rotation. Occasionally weekend work will be required at an overtime rate to complete maintenance out with production. Shift patterns are as follows:
Early shift – 6am- 2pm (Mon-Fri)
Backshift – 2pm – 10-pm (Mon-Thurs), 2pm – 9pm (Friday)
Night shift – 10pm – 6am (Sunday – Friday)
About YouAs a time served Engineer with hands-on maintenance /engineering experience Our ideal candidate will have well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels!
Are you organised and self-reliant, able to handle your own workload and priorities while solving problems and supporting process and equipment improvement projects? Can you bring with you good organisational skills and are able to work both autonomously as well within a team? If so tis might be the perfect next role for you!
Key skills and qualificationsHNC level qualification in engineering or equivalent experience
Excellent analytical skills with ability to drive improvements
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to all levels across the plant
Experienced in data analysis, use of applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and business systems such as SAP
