Job Description

DUTIES:                               Provide technical leadership in developing and maintaining software components using PL/SQL code; write and debugging Unix shell scripts using Bash; create, modify, and manage cron jobs for scheduling tasks; use SunTec TBMS billing and mediation software to conduct rating, taxing, and account management; develop software using Java, Spring Boot, and either Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA; perform version control using GitHub Enterprise Cloud; test software using JUnit; perform CI/CD using Concourse; develop Java applications utilizing AWS and Cloud Foundry; perform data manipulation and analysis using Python libraries including NumPy and Pandas; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS:             Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience developing and maintaining software components using PL/SQL code; writing and debugging Unix shell scripts using Bash;  creating, modifying, and managing cron jobs for scheduling tasks; using SunTec TBMS billing and mediation software to conduct rating, taxing, and account management; of which three (3) years include developing software using Java, Spring Boot, and either Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA; performing version control using GitHub Enterprise Cloud; testing software using JUnit; performing CI/CD using Concourse; developing Java applications utilizing AWS and Cloud Foundry; of which one (1) year includes performing data manipulation and analysis using Python libraries including NumPy and Pandas.
