Job overview and responsibilities

The Engineer – Cloud Cybersecurity focuses on efforts to mature the third-party security assessment program at United Airlines, as part of a cross-disciplinary Cyber team. In this role the Engineer will work on the creation and maintenance of the third-party risk assessment platform and partner with product, platform, engineering, and operations teams to ensure the adoption of security best practices across the entire lifecycle. The role with help continuously improves the third-party risk assessment framework and associated playbooks, workflows, processes, and procedures.

Identify and communicate current and emerging security threatsDefine, implement, and maintain corporate security policies, procedures, and standards

Bachelors degree3 years of related experience or successful completion of ECDLP / Cyber Rotational ProgramAbility to develop and maintain analytics dashboards to monitor cloud security metrics and performance indicators.Strong collaboration and communication skills.Working knowledge of fundamental security concepts and best practicesBasic understanding of network security and firewall configurationWorking knowledge of using scripting languages for task automationAbility to work independently and self-motivateExcellent problem solving, critical thinking, interpersonal, collaboration, written and verbal communication skillsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
