Your Role:

In this role you will lead the development of innovative filtration products that support the manufacture of life-saving biopharmaceuticals. You will serve as the technical lead on cross-functional teams, guiding projects from concept through commercialization. In this hands-on engineering role, you will apply your expertise in product design, statistical analysis, and process development to create high-performance, manufacturable, and robust filtration solutions. You will work in close collaboration with internal partners in R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Product Management to deliver high-impact results. Up to 20% travel.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead technical execution of product development projects from concept through launch.Design and develop TFF filtration products using 3-D CAD software and related tools.Apply Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical tools to drive data-based decisions and product optimization.Conduct hands-on prototyping, testing, and iterative design improvements.Support and/or lead DFMEA/FMEA activities to identify and mitigate design and process risks.Ensure robust design for manufacturability (DFM) and scalability across development phases.Document and present engineering findings through technical reports, presentations, and project reviews.Drive innovation and continuous improvement to advance product performance and customer value.

 

Who You Are:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other Engineering discipline and 5+ years of Engineering experience.

OR

Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other Engineering discipline and 3+ years of Engineering experience.

OR

PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other Engineering discipline.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in the life science, bioprocessing, or medical device industry.Familiarity with cGMP, design controls, and regulatory considerations.Strong communication skills and ability to effectively document and present technical work.Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional development teams.Proficiency in 3-D CAD and mechanical product design.Hands-on experience in lab-scale testing and product iteration.Strong background in statistical analysis, DOE, and data interpretation.Working knowledge of manufacturing principles, quality systems, and risk management tools (e.g., DFMEA, FMEA).
