The primary objective of an Information Systems engineer is the creation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure to support our rapidly growing suite of applications. DevOps Engineering is responsible for managing the technical effort (implementation, design and architecture) to create robust, scalable and maintainable cloud infrastructure; collaborating with project stakeholders and multidisciplinary cross functional teams to implement deployment strategies for existing and new types of services; and developing automation and processes to enable teams to deploy, manage, configure, scale and monitor their applications in platforms, data centers and in cloud.
Let’s talk about responsibilities:
· Evaluate and upgrade existing infrastructure to reduce costs, increase performance and reduce manual interventions.
Troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
Leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to speed project completion.
Create documentation for technical activities.
Manage infrastructure as code for large enterprise cloud deployments.
Design and write automation scripts to perform cloud activities.
Collaborate with development teams to guide their cloud infrastructure and development.
Learn Resmed specific applications to support their deployment and maintenance.
Participate in an on-call rotation in support of our cloud infrastructure and applications.
Mentor other team members in your area of expertise
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s degree.
5+ years working in a production environment
Experience with Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
Scripting language experience with one or more of the following: Unix shell, PowerShell, Python
Troubleshooting skills
Capable of learning new tools rapidly and changing focus quickly based on business needs.
Technical document creation and editing
GIT experience
Experience building productive internal/external working relationships.
Unafraid to disrupt the status quo.
Ability to leverage professional expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results.
Ability to work in high-stress situations during an incident.
Preferred:
5+ years working in an enterprise production environment
Agile scrum experience
Ansible playbook creation and/or Ansible Automation Platform
Hands-on operational experience maintaining enterprise cloud infrastructure in a 24/7 environment
Previous knowledge of Azure, Amazon Web Service, and/or Google Cloud
Administrative experience with Windows 2016+, Linux (Any distro), and/or Unix
Additional experience as an administrator in databases, networking, storage, user management, information security, and/or data center operations
Cloud architecture design experience
