General Summary:

This position is for an experienced Embedded system/RF WLAN hardware engineer with strong technology background, problem solving and communication skills.

Major technical area is focused on hardware system from both a laboratory environment and board level, providing customer support through the performance of calibration services as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, repair of general and RF equipment and setup.

The daily work could include customer training, issue debugging, feature development and project follow-up.

The individual will also support customers to integrate Qualcomm WLAN solutions into their product and support them from design phase to mass production. 

The individual will interact with marketing teams, product managers, sales team, and development teams to help resolve customer issues and report project progress

Strong communication skills, background on processes and planning managements knowledge would be a benefit for the job.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Understanding of fundamentals of wireless communication physical and MAC layer concepts.10+ years’ experience with hardware design, RF calibration and performance tuning, generic hardware and RF setup material, etc.5+ years’ experience in embedded platform development (Linux preferred)5+ years’ experience with customer support and debugging techniques.Any program/project management with management report experience.Good communication skill.

                 

               

Preferred Qualifications:

Customer success operations project management or related work experience Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Experience in connectivity HW development/supportExperience with wireless and embedded processor platforms – Strong RF experience.Understanding of 802.11 family protocol (PHY, MAC and security). Highly experienced with PHY layer.Understanding and knowledge of regulatory standards (ETSI, IEEE, CENELEC, and relative technical standard).Experience with certification laboratory, specifically in EMC and WLAN certification testing.Familiar with TCP/IP and Networking protocols(DHCP, ICMP, Bridging, routing and etc)knowledge of embedded low-level SW for LinuxExperience in using CRM platform (Salesforce, Jira, …), in customer dashboards report, in management reporting would be a bonus.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Self-motivated and quick learnerGood team playerAbility to perform under pressureWillingness to travel when needed         

               

Skills:

Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.Frequent travel across Europe, occasional international travels (US/APAC)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
