Due to growth, we are adding a Engineer, Data Integration to our Data & Digital department.  

 

The Engineer, Data Integration ensures efforts are in alignment with the Enterprise Architecture team to support customer-focused objectives and the IT Vision, a collaborative partner delivering innovative ideas, solutions and services to simplify people’s lives. The Engineer, Data Integration will help define and grow our data centric architecture. The Engineer, Data Integration is responsible for implementing data ingestion, validation, and transformation pipelines. The Engineer, Data Integration will design and maintain batch and streaming integrations across a variety of data domains and platforms. The Engineer, Data Integration will be responsible for designing streaming capabilities for the internal and external movement of data to support our clients’ needs. The Engineer, Data Integration will align our data structures, designs, and capabilities with the needs of the organization and in support of our strategic direction. The ideal candidate is experienced in Domain driven development and event driven architecture with real time data transformations.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team? 

Work with stakeholders to design and develop data ingest, validation, and transform pipelinesLead the effort for design, development and implementation on a project-by-project basis to deliver solutions which are easily maintainable and scalableParticipate in data strategy and road map planning, data architecture definitions, centralized data platform design, and implementationDevelop and maintain user manuals and guidelinesAssist in the development and maintenance of a data catalogAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot data issues, recognizing common data integration and transformation patternsMaintain enterprise metadata so that it can be reported and leveraged for re-useDefine and maintain standards for data object naming and other data administration standardsDesign and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models, including versioning and governanceUtilizes one or more of the following: Oracle, MS SQL, Informatica, Automic, .NET Core, Microservices Architecture, Event Driven Architecture, Confluent/Kafka, Application Program Interface (API), and Qlik Replicate (CDC)Other duties as assigned Qualifications

College degree or equivalent experience required in the field of computer science, information systems or software engineering and/or a minimum of 5+ years of professional experienceExcellent understanding of coding methods and best practicesProven experience collaborating with business teams to analyze business requirements and develop technical specificationsProven experience designing complex data flows with end-to-end automation of complex requirementsProven experience with streaming platforms such as KafkaProven experience developing test cases and test plansDemonstrated understanding of Software Development Life CycleExperience with relational databasesBackground with unit and integration testing basicsFundamental knowledge of distributed data processing and storageFundamental knowledge of working with structured, unstructured, and semi structured data.Fundamental knowledge of API frameworksKnowledge of healthcare industry practices, HIPAA, and applicable data privacy practices preferredExperience developing data exchange pipelines using HL7 FHIR, SOA, XML / JSON, and REST API would be a plusExperience with NoSQL such as MongoDB is desiredParticipate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectivesThe ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
