**ABOUT THE ROLE** As a Commercialization Engineer, you will be responsible for bringing VF-owned brand footwear designs to life by engineering products for efficient manufacturability, lowest cost, and highest quality and performance. Based in one of VF’s key manufacturing regions and working closely with strategic vendors, you will serve as a critical liaison between VF’s development and production teams, ensuring product intent is maintained while meeting commercial and operational requirements. You will work hands-on with factory and brand development teams, ensuring best practices in commercialization are applied early in the product development cycle. You will co-create fit and wear test samples, conduct tooling reviews, and lead pre-production trials (T4) to ensure product readiness for hand-off to production teams—upholding VF’s high standards of quality, comfort, and durability. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** + Execute the commercialization process using subject matter expertise in production to ensure development samples meet commercialization requirements + Partner with brand and vendor development, engineering, and production teams to ensure accuracy in pattern, fit, materials, and assembly techniques + Ensure laboratory testing is conducted to meet product performance standards + Lead and track extreme fit trial schedules with brand-approved fit and wear test teams, reporting progress to cross-functional stakeholders + Track and hold accountable downstream and upstream teams to ensure BR and T4 readiness + Collaborate with VF’s GMS mold tooling team to align tooling timelines with BR and production planning + Partner with VF’s costing team to validate sample and production patterns against yield utilization **SKILLS FOR SUCCESS** + Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in footwear commercialization or production environments within reputable, fashion, retail, or consumer-facing multinational organizations + Degree in Textiles, Equipment, Apparel, or Footwear-related fields + Expertise in footwear engineering, LEAN manufacturing, automation, patterns, laboratory standards, and materials testing + Ability to simplify complex engineering information into clear verbal and written communication + Strong knowledge of footwear technical constructions, material performance, fit and wear, and speed development + Ability to work independently or in cross-functional, multicultural teams + Strong communication skills for delivering impactful technical feedback + Understanding of paper pattern creation; digital product creation is a strong advantage + Strong alignment with VF’s core values + Language proficiency: Excellent English; Mandarin or Vietnamese is a plus **WHAT WE WILL TEACH YOU** + How to contribute to a purpose-led business that positively impacts communities globally + How to thrive in a diverse, inclusive, and globally minded team + How to benefit from VF’s best-in-class work environment, well-being policies, and workplace flexibility **WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU** VF is committed to unleashing human potential through the energy and commitment of our people.
