**Position Summary**
As a Commercialization Engineer for Equipment and Packs, you will be responsible for bringing VF-owned brand designs to life by engineering products for efficient manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and high performance. Based in one of VF’s key manufacturing regions and embedded within strategic vendor partnerships, you will serve as a critical liaison between sourcing development and sourcing operations, ensuring product intent is maintained while meeting commercial and operational requirements.
You will work hands-on with factory and sourcing development teams, ensuring that best practices in commercialization are applied early in the product development cycle. You will partner with vendors to ensure product readiness for handoff to VF production teams, maintaining VF’s high standards of quality, functionality, and durability.
**How You Will Make a Difference**
+ Represent commercialization in early product development cycle meetings, ensuring development samples meet commercialization requirements.
+ Partner with brand and vendor teams to ensure accuracy in pattern, fit, materials, and assembly techniques, and confirm proper laboratory testing for product performance.
+ Lead and track extreme fit trial schedules with brand-approved fit and wear test teams, ensuring alignment with BR timelines.
+ Track and hold downstream and upstream teams accountable to ensure BR and T4 readiness.
+ Collaborate with VF’s GMS mold tooling team to align tooling timelines with production planning.
+ Partner with VF’s costing team to validate sample and production patterns against yield utilization.
**Skills for Success**
+ **Experience:** 3–5 years in manufacturing, technical, or production environments within fashion, retail, or consumer-facing multinational organizations.
+ **Education:** Degree in Textiles, Equipment/Apparel/Footwear-related fields.
+ **Expertise:**
+ Equipment and accessories
+ LEAN manufacturing and automation
+ Pattern engineering
+ Laboratory standards, testing, and materials
+ **Communication:** Ability to simplify complex engineering concepts into clear, actionable communication.
+ **Languages:** Excellent English; local regional language proficiency is a plus.
**What We Expect You Already Know**
+ Technical knowledge of equipment and accessories, including construction, testing, material performance, fit, and wear.
+ Experience in LEAN production, automation, and speed development.
+ Ability to work independently or within cross-functional, multicultural teams.
+ Strong communication skills to deliver impactful technical feedback.
+ Understanding of paper pattern creation and digital product creation is a strong advantage.
