Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sandisk, Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing & deploying automation solution for FOL/EOL Assembly & TEST processes with excellent quality & reliability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Support Automation design, development & deployment for new automatic and robotic equipment.Coordinate with internal teams & manage suppliers to deliver automation project from design stage to qualification & release to manufacturingEnsure that automation equipment are in good performance to meet the goals on quality, yield, and cost, utilization and cycle time.Ensure effective hand shaking process of new automation solution introduction to manufacturing line.Documentation: SOP, WI, FMEA, OCAP and Control Plan for related process.Able to conduct trainings to Operator/technicians on machine operation and skill improvement.Any other duties assigned from time base on schedule and unscheduled activitiesParticipate in productivity improvement, Lean, Kaizen and similar activities and provide manufacturing process optimization solution

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Master Degree / Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent & relevant to Automation engineering1 to 2 year(s) of working experience in Semiconductor manufacturing environment is desirable but enthusiastic fresh graduate having an excellent thesis/project will be strongly considered.

PREFERRED:

Excellent English communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.Highly inquisitive nature with good attention to details, coupled with creativity, innovation-focus & resourcefulness.Ability to work as a team member, both on the same team and with external teams.Self-driven to troubleshoot and analyze problems.Adaptability to multi-task and meet deadlines & dynamic changes.Experience and knowledge at FOL/EOL Assembly & TEST processExperience in automation equipment & its working principlesDemonstrate skills in any automation design aspects, include but not limited to hardware design, system control, electrical system, coding (PC/PLC etc) & project management.Proficient in standard business application software, CAD, Tools & standard engineering method (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc).Proficiency in PL/SQL and Oracle database is preferred.Familiarity with MES/SAP/DB & any SECS/GEM characterization tools
