**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented In-shop diesel technician to join our team at the Kamloops Cummins location. **Cummins offers a 5000$ sign-on bonus for this position** **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + Apply documented procedures and policies to perform diagnostics and complex repairs. + Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engine. + Complete required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten or business system input screens. + Complete training in line with skill and business requirements. + Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation. + Adhere to and ensures adherence of more junior technicians to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor. + Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + Red seal Commercial Transport technician or equivalent is mandatory for this position. + Locally valid driving permit is mandatory for the role. + CVI license is an asset for this role. + Class 3 license is an asset for this role. + This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. **Experience:** + Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products. + Experience in bumper to bumper repairs. + Experience in trailer repair. + Cummins engine troubleshooting and repairs is considered an asset + OEM Dealer experience is considered an asset. **About the role** : + This is a safety-oriented position. + On a 4x10 working schedule (Weds - Sat) 7am to 530pm + Cummins factory training provided + Advancement opportunities within Cummins + Pay is 51.13$ hourly plus a 1.50$ hourly premium. + Unionized environment.
