**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented Engine Workshop Technician to join our Distribution business in Columbia, MO. **You will make an impact in the following ways:** + Complete minor repairs on engine products in a service shop + Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools + Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles + Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies + Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products + Maintain own tools **RESPONSIBILITIES** **In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:** + Previous experience as a Mid to Medium repair technician + Troubleshooting of wiring, powertrain and chassis is a plus + Some Knowledge of engine diagnostics and technical problem solving + Electrical experience is a plus **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education, Licenses, Certifications:** Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. **Experience:** Minimal level of workshop experience required Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products **DOT** Requires CDL Class B or better- + A current valid CDL is required for this role. + This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free of major violations. + This role is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing. + This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical + This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use. + Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age. **Compensation and Benefits** Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
