**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for an experienced Field Service Diesel Engine Technician to join our team in Fort McMurray. We offer a 5000$ sign on bonus for this position. **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner and anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs. + Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools. + Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine and related components in the field. + Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor. + Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. + Identifies additional service opportunities with customer. + Completes training in line with skill and business requirements. + Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation. + Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need :** **Education, Licenses, Certifications:** + Off Road red seal certification is mandatory for this position. + Locally valid driving permit and a clean driver's abstract. + This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. **Experience:** + Basic level field service work experience. + Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products. + Customer service experience. + Mining experience (open pit) is an asset. + Work independently as well as in a group environment **About the role:** + 14 ON-14 OFF work schedule (730am-730pm or 730pm-730am) **Rotational day and night shift + Working on Komatsu’s products and also other brands + Work in extreme cold and hot temps + Cummins provides the truck and tooling + A copy of your red seal certification or trade’s diploma is required for this position. + This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations + This role will can be subjected to on-going random drug and alcohol testing. **Compensation and Benefits** Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
