Your Opportunity
We are seeking a professional who is a strong communicator and detail-oriented team member to serve as an Engagement Coordinator. This role is integrated into Metro Vancouver’s team delivering the construction of a multi-billion-dollar wastewater treatment plant. The role is critical in supporting collaboration between internal project teams and external stakeholders, including municipalities, utility providers, and partner organizations. It involves playing a central role in gathering, distilling, and communicating complex project information across multiple channels.
This role is based in North Vancouver and requires a minimum on-site presence of four days per week.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support the liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring information flows efficiently and issues are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
- Support senior staff with internal and external reporting, environmental permitting, liaison with local government, and First Nations engagement.
- Maintain clear, organized communication channels to support alignment across project disciplines and with external partners.
- Respond to stakeholder inquiries by reviewing past correspondence, meeting notes, and submission records to provide clear and well-informed updates.
- Assist in preparing written memos, responses, and summary documents that synthesize technical and administrative input from across the project team.
- Review permit-related submissions to ensure completeness, coordinate with internal contributors to fill gaps, and track outstanding items.
- Attend regular update meetings with third-party stakeholders, maintain meeting records, and follow up on action items.
- Support the preparation of quarterly financial and progress reports by collecting input from cost, construction, engagement, and scheduling teams; verify that reporting aligns with contractual obligations.
- Gain understanding of construction site activities through regular on-site presence and safety training.
- Assist with contract tracking and coordination, including reviewing documentation workflows and maintaining inventories of contracts and amendments.
- Navigate construction drawings, archived emails, databases, and past documents to extract and compile information.
Your Capabilities and Experience
- Maintains strong degree of professionalism
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and translate complex or fragmented information into clear, actionable summaries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing and tracking information across multiple streams.
- Experience navigating large volumes of project information, including drawings, reports, historical correspondence, and internal databases.
- Proactive, collaborative, and able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work in the North Vancouver office for a minimum of 4 days per week with weekly site visits
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Sciences such as Urban Planning, Human Geography, Sustainability, Public Policy or similar related fields.
Previous related experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders considered a strong asset.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time, as well as work in the field.

**Pay Range:**
• Locations in Lower Mainland - BC - Min Salary $ 56,600.00 - Max Salary $ 79,200.00
**Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
