Support the HSE Manager to develop the HSE strategy for the siteExecute the H&S risk management programme across the site covering all hazards and controls associated with the businessResponsibility for maintaining and compliance with ISO45001 and ISO14001 management systemsAccident reduction through risk reduction programmesOperational HSE implementation & SupportCarry out person specific risk assessments to support CCUK’s occupational health programSafety leadershipBehavioural based safety developmentHSE Linx HSE & Ergonomics tracking in accordance with Magna standardsLead safety L&D programmesEffective change management supportEnsure Cosma Casting (UK)’s HSE policies and procedures are consistently applied based on the principles of the Magna Employee’s Charter, the Corporate and Divisional Health, Safety and Environmental and Ergonomic policy, as well as following legislationPromote and practice “safety first” by immediately addressing any hazards, defective equipment or unsafe conditions within the departmentConduct monthly safety and environmental audits and report results to division Leaders as well as offer improvement suggestions as appropriateSupport the HSE Manager to maintain all applicable certification (ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO50001).Support the HSE Manager to achieve Magna (MAFACT) corporate audit complianceMonitor new and amended legislation and remain current with the latest health, safety and ergonomic requirementsReview all accident/incident investigation reports and provide leadership in developing and implementing corrective actionsMaintain effective communication and coordination with all internal customers, plant Leaders and Team Members; maintain positive employee relations; listen to issues and concerns and respond within 48 hoursPlan and coordinate internal and external safety training for all Team members as well as ensuring that everyone is kept up to date on H&S changesContinually evaluate the H&S processes in place and advise on any necessary changes requiredManage External Certification body surveillance visits and regulatorsPromote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhere to all Health and Safety Environmental requirementsOther related duties as determined by the HSE ManagerExperience
Essential
Post-secondary education in safety engineering or equivalent experience in an industrial environmentExperience in health and Safety in the Automotive sector, Engineering or Manufacturing environment, preferredMember of IEMAErgonomicsNEBOSH & COSHHWorking towards CMIOSHWorking knowledge of HSE legislationKnowledge of control of substances, vibration, asbestos, Legionella, noise and work equipmentExperience of press work and fabrication processesBehavioural safetyAbility to manage technical staffRisk assessorInvestigator / problem solverDesirable
