**Duration: 12+ months contract with potential extends or Convert** **Job Description:** + Employees in this role have the responsibility of planning, designing, and executing various energy storage projects. + This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, engineering oversight and consulting across cross functional teams to deliver a best-in-class product. **Responsibilities:** + Support design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects. + Recognize inconsistencies in engineering drawings, take corrective action, and strive for better design quality and efficiency. + Identify and resolve errors in engineering studies and suggest future solutions. + Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts. + Support projects from inception to completion by working closely with project managers. + Influence project teams on engineering tasks. + Stay updated on project progress and technical issues. + Manage project milestones and recognize risks + Collaborate with suppliers to integrate major equipment. + Work with diverse teams to solve problems, improve opportunities, and integrate systems and controls. + Understand specifications for major equipment purchasing, ensure clear communication, andpropose solutions + Understand permitting requirements, propose solutions to legal challenges, and recommend site design improvements. + Handle other assigned duties as needed. + Travel 25% of the time for project specific duties. **Experience:** + 3+ Years experience Solar/PV Engineering and/or Construction + Expertise in one or more of these areas: Power electronics, Battery storage system design, Substation design, Generation tie design. + Familiarity with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters. + Familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections) + Familiarity with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730 **Skills:** + Ability to handle specialized technical tasks independently. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree **About US Tech Solutions:** US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
