Hershey Malaysia Sdn Bhd Location: Senai, Johor Summary of major duties: • To collect and analyze the data on energy consumption of the entire plant. • Lead and oversee the full implementation and continuous improvement of the site’s Energy Management System (EnMS), ensuring alignment with ISO 50001 standards, compliance with regulatory requirements (EECA2024), and achievement of energy performance objectives. • To prepare the energy efficiency & conservation (EE&C) report for the plant in accordance with the detail format as specified in the guideline on energy efficiency & conservation(EE&C) report. • To ensure the accuracy of the information provided in the EE&C report. • To advice on any energy saving measures which can be implemented and monitor the implementation of such measures. • Ensure that all Significant Energy Users (SEUs) are accurately identified within the Energy Management System (EnMS) and continuously drive performance improvement initiatives focused on optimizing their energy efficiency. • Conduct trend analysis to detect inefficiencies, unusual patterns, and performance gaps. • Share actionable insights with relevant departments to support operational improvements. • Evaluate systems, operations, and infrastructure to uncover potential areas for energy optimization. • Lead cross-functional efforts to design and deliver energy-saving projects, including process enhancements, equipment upgrades, or operational changes. • Lead the energy committee and conduct frequent meetings to discuss and align on energy related matters of the plant. • Conduct training and awareness programs to promote energy-conscious behaviors among operators, technicians, engineers, procurement, and other internal stakeholders. • Facilitate GEMBA walks focused on energy improvement and foster cross-departmental energy collaboration. • Champion the development and execution of site-level recognition programs to reward energy and environmental contributions. • Develop and maintain a comprehensive, multi-year roadmap to achieve energy intensity and GHG emission reduction targets as per global and plant target requirements. • Manage the global ESG dashboard and update the data related to energy usage (fixed and variables) according to monthly production volume and monthly CI tracker. • Continuously refine the roadmap in alignment with global sustainability strategies and corporate direction, while tracking progress through key performance indicators (KPIs). • Responsible for coordinating and managing Energy Commission audits to ensure full compliance with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (EECA) 2024. * Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:* * Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, utilities, process operations, or energy management, preferably in manufacturing or other industrial sectors. * Practical knowledge and relevant experience in Food manufacturing environment is added advantages * Good verbal and written English communication skills. * Proven self-starter with a willingness to work in a team environment. * Advanced understanding of PC's and basic PC skills. * Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering,Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy Management, or other relevant fields. * Must be a Registered Energy Manager (REM Type 2) certified by the Energy Commission of Malaysia, in compliance with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (EECA) 2024.
