See what it's like to work at GROWMARK: https://youtu.be/CSVMnKCySsY *_PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT_* Maintains the Energy Equipment product line, providing technical recommendations, directing “systems” pricing, and assists in the administration of marketing programs. * _ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS_* Maintains the energy equipment product line by placing orders for both customers and inventory stock, eliminating slower moving items, adding newer products, and keeping the entire line current with customer needs and preferences. Recommends pricing based upon marketplace information. Provides technical recommendations to customers, acquires technical knowledge from vendors and other resources, and shares this information within the department to improve quality of recommendations. Works closely with vendors to understand their strategies and with customers to understand their needs in order to find ways to capitalize upon mutual opportunities. Directs “systems” pricing where packages are offered of multiple products under one price. Finds ways to simplify such pricing with customers, manages the selling process and deliverables, and accounts for profitability on the collective sale. * _OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS_* Represents the System in trade shows and industry events as needed. Interacts with Crop Protection, Seed, Agronomy Services, Energy and NewTech to develop programs that maximize our value as support and a resource for their business. Conducts technical training including the development, presentation, and follow up of programs to maximize results. Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team. Performs all other duties as assigned. * _REQUIREMENTS_* Normally requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, or equivalent plus at least 2 years of related sales/technical support experience to demonstrate the ability to provide energy equipment product leadership to the GROWMARK System. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Understanding and experience with structures and energy equipment-related areas including sales/marketing, technical support, supply chain, price strategy, inventory control, order fulfillment, policies and procedures, and compliance. Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
