Job Description
As an Energy Consultant, you will develop and implement energy procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and mitigate risks for commercial and industrial clients. You will analyze energy usage patterns and market trends to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions. Additionally, you will manage supplier relationships, negotiate energy contracts, and monitor regulatory changes to ensure compliance and strategic alignment. Your role involves providing clients with detailed reporting and insights on energy performance, budget forecasting, and sustainability initiatives. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support energy audits, demand response programs, and sustainability initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement energy procurement strategies for cost savings and risk mitigation.Analyze energy usage patterns and market trends for efficiency improvements.Manage supplier relationships and negotiate energy contracts including electricity, natural gas, and renewable energy.Monitor regulatory changes and market developments to ensure compliance.Provide detailed reporting and insights on energy performance and budget forecasting.Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders for energy audits and sustainability initiatives.Utilize energy management systems and data analytics tools to track performance.Advise clients on renewable energy options and carbon footprint reduction strategies.Essential SkillsForecasting and financial analysis.Proficiency in procurement processes.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or Business.Experience with analysis, Excel, RFQs, and procurement.2-3 years of experience in energy procurement and energy management.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in energy management or energy procurement.Work Environment
The work environment includes an 8am to 5pm schedule with an hour for lunch. The role is based in an office in White Plains or at job site locations. The company offers a staff willing to train, immediate client exposure, and autonomy for junior-level positions. There is an opportunity to be in a management position early in your career, a 10% profit share of salary, and a collaborative culture with minimal overtime.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
